Technical area
The present invention relates to the field of watchmaking. It relates more particularly to a timepiece comprising a power reserve indication device.
State of the art
We already know many achievements indications of the power reserve of a timepiece, that is to say, the winding state of the motor spring. Some embodiments represent the power reserve in an abstract way, using curves, colors or the like. Still other embodiments more precisely indicate the power reserve, in terms of the number of hours or days remaining before the timepiece requires reassembly. In this respect, mention may be made of documents CH 313 605 and CH 263 707, which disclose power reserve mechanisms calibrated in hours, and document CH 162 786 whose indication is calibrated in days.
However, there is a need for much more precise and easier to read power reserve indications, and the object of the invention is to meet this need.
Disclosure of the invention
More specifically, the invention relates to a timepiece comprising a barrel system comprising a drum housing a motor spring, a barrel inlet arranged to allow the reassembly of said mainspring, and a barrel outlet arranged to to provide a driving force to a watch movement that includes the timepiece. One of the entry and exit of the barrel may be for example a ratchet, the other may be a mobile kinematically connected to the drum, such as a toothed wheel coming from a room with the drum, or vice versa.
The timepiece further comprises a power reserve indication device comprising a differential gear, said differential gear comprising a first differential input in kinematic connection with said barrel inlet, a second differential input in connection. kinematic with said barrel outlet, and a differential output in kinematic connection with a first power reserve indication mobile associated with a first indication member. Gear ratios of said indicating device (i.e. the gear ratios of the differential gear as well as those of the kinematic links between the inputs of the differential gear and the input or output respectively of the barrel system and those of the kinematic connection between the output of the differential gear and the first indicating member) are arranged such that said first indicating member indicates the power reserve according to a first division of time, by example the minutes.
According to the invention, the power reserve indication device comprises a second power reserve mobile in kinematic connection with said first power reserve indication mobile via a reduction gear, said second power reserve wheel being associated with a second indicating member, said reduction gear having a gear ratio arranged such that said second indication member indicates the power reserve in a second time division, which represents an integer multiple of said first time division, the power reserve indication device being arranged such that the power reserve is indicated by the combination of the indication provided by the first indication member and by the second indication member.

Advantageously, the power reserve indication device further comprises a third power reserve mobile in kinematic connection with said second power reserve indication mobile via an additional reduction gear, said third power reserve mobile being associated with a third indicating member, said additional reduction gear having a gear ratio arranged so that said third indicator member indicates the power reserve in a third time division; which represents an integer multiple of said second division of time, the power reserve indication device being arranged such that the power reserve may be indicated by the combination of the indication provided by the first indication member by the second indicating member and the third indicating member.
Even higher reading accuracy is possible, including for example divisions days-hours-minutes, hours-minutes-seconds, or the like.
Advantageously, said barrel inlet is a ratchet wheel belonging to the barrel system, and said barrel outlet is a mobile in kinematic connection with a barrel of the barrel Ce mobile may be for example a toothing from a piece with the drum, a gear wheel forming a drum cover, or the like.
Advantageously, the indicator organs of the power reserve are needles arranged to move in front of corresponding scales.
Advantageously, said first indicator member is integral in rotation with said differential output, for example a carrier cage planet differential. This first indicator member may be connected to said differential output by means of any friction device. The latter, in combination with stroke limiting means associated with one of the power reserve mobiles (or another mobile in the same wheel), may allow the device to operate even if the winding mobile continues to arm the motor spring while it is reassembled fully, as is often the case in automatic watches. These limiting means may for example comprise a slot provided in said mobile and a stop located on an element of the frame that includes the timepiece, which is a very compact solution for the stroke limiting means.

Embodiment of the invention
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a power reserve indication device 1 for a timepiece according to the invention. In this figure are represented exclusively the components of the watch movement necessary for the understanding of the invention. Other components, such as a work train, a switch, a winding system, a possible chronograph mechanism, a frame, etc. have not been illustrated.
The timepiece comprises, as is generally the case, a barrel system 3, generically consisting of a barrel housing a motor spring, a barrel inlet for raising the motor spring, and an output for providing energy to the movement.
In the concrete case illustrated in FIG. 1, this barrel system 3 comprises a ratchet wheel 5 integral with a barrel axis 9 and intended for reassembly of the system 3 and thus constituting the barrel inlet, and a mobile 7 in kinematic connection with the cylinder drum which constitutes so a barrel outlet. Conventionally, this mobile 7 is integral or came from a room with the drum, but this is not necessarily the case. A motor spring (not shown) is housed in the drum, and is connected at one end to the axis 9, and at the other end to the drum. The illustrated arrangement is therefore intended to be raised by the barrel axis 9, while the cylinder drum is intended to provide energy to the movement. It goes without saying that the barrel system 3 may alternatively be arranged to be raised by the drum (which would therefore constitute the barrel entrance in this case) and to supply energy to the movement by means of the barrel axis. 9 (which would therefore constitute the barrel outlet in this case), the modifications necessary for this configuration being already well known to those skilled in the art.
For the assembly of the spring, the ratchet wheel 5 is in kinematic connection with a winding gear 11, which consists of a mobile armature 13, in kinematic connection with a winding stem (not shown). and / or with an oscillating weight (also not shown) and a winding return 15, which connects the winding wheel to the ratchet wheel 5 in order to be able to drive it by means of the winding stem.
The armoring device 13 comprises, integral in rotation with each other, a lower wheel 13a which meshes with the winding gear 15, and an upper wheel 13b which meshes directly or indirectly with a first input d a differential gear 17, this first input being a ring 17a in the illustrated example. The second input is a sun gear 17b (visible in FIG 1) which meshes with a disarming mobile 19 composed of an upper wheel 19a which meshes directly or indirectly with said second input 17b, and which is integral in rotation with a lower wheel 19b which meshes with the mobile 7 in kinematic connection with the cylinder drum.
The output of the differential gear 17 is a planet carrier 17c, which carries one or more 17d satellite wheels which mesh on the one hand with the ring 17a, on the other hand with the sun gear 17b.
The operation of such a differential gear 17 is already well known in the context of a display of the power reserve, and therefore should not be described in more detail. For this purpose, mention may be made, among others, of documents CH 298 108, CH 689 414 and CH 313 605.
The output 17c of the differential gear rotates a first indicator member 21a of the power reserve, which is here directly integral in rotation with the planet carrier, but which can be conducted indirectly via the one or more referrals.
The first indicator member 21a is integral in rotation with a pinion 25a, which is kinematically connected to a mobile 25b carrying a second indicator member 21b, via a first reduction gear 23a. This mobile 25b is also connected to a mobile 25c carrying a third indicator member 21c, via a second reduction gear 23c. It goes without saying that the presence of the third indicator member 21c and its mobile 25c and the associated second reduction gear 23b is not mandatory. The mobiles connecting the output 17c of the differential gear 17 and the various indicator members 21a, 21b, 21c therefore form a display gear of the power reserve.
The mobile 25c comprises a slot 27 in an arc in which takes place a stop 29 such that, for example a pin or a stud integral with a frame member. The shape of this slot 27 and the positioning of the stud are chosen so that, in the case where the timepiece comprises an automatic winding system oscillating weight, the barrel being provided with a sliding flange spring allowing the oscillating weight to continue to rotate the mobile armoring 13 while the barrel is reassembled fully, the indicators 21a, 21b, 21c of the power reserve are blocked by the stop 29 and stop rotating when the barrel is reassembled thoroughly. This slot 27 and stop 29 therefore form means for limiting the stroke of the mobile 25c. Other arrangements of these means are also conceivable, for example a stud located on the mobile 25c which cooperates with stops located on an element of the frame.
A friction device (not visible in Fig. 1) is also provided at the output of the differential 17c so that the differential can continue to turn when the needles 21a, 21b, 21c and their corresponding mobiles 25a, 25b, 25c are blocked by the stop 29. In a variant that comprises only two indicator members 21a, 21b, the slot 27 is on the mobile 25b associated with the second indicator member and the stop 29 is positioned to take place in this slot 27. In other words, the slot 27 and the stop 29 are associated with the last mobile of the display gear of the power reserve.
In the case where it is not possible to continue to rotate the mobile armature 13 when the cylinder is reassembled thoroughly, regardless of the type of winding (manual, automatic, or a combination of these kinds ), the slot 27, the stop 29 and the friction device are superfluous and can be deleted.
Fig. 3 2 illustrates a variant of a power reserve display 31 associated with the power reserve device 1 illustrated in FIG. 1. This display breaks down the remaining power reserve time into three time divisions, including days, hours, and minutes. As is commonly understood for a time display, the power reserve time represents the association of these three time divisions.
In the illustrated variant, the first indicator member 21a comprises three needles angularly spaced 120 ° about its axis. A first scale 33a is provided on a dial and is shaped to indicate the minutes of the power reserve over a 120 ° arc. The second indicator member 21b also comprises three needles angularly spaced 120 ° about its axis and indicates the minutes of the power reserve also on a corresponding scale 33b which extends over an angle of 120 °. Finally, the third indicator member 21c comprises a single needle still associated with a scale 33c, also extending over 120 °.
The gear ratios, in particular of the differential gearing 17, the armature 13 and disarming mobiles 19 and the power reserve indication wheel are adapted so that the indication provided by the indicating device 1 is correct.
It goes without saying that other arrangements with two or three indicator organs are conceivable. For example, other numbers of needles on indicator members 21a, 21b, 21c are possible (for example, one, two, or four), as well as other scales extending over different arcs. One or more of the indicator members may take the form of a disc with a line or the like, or this disc may carry a scale which moves relative to a fixed index on the dial or on an element of the movement frame, etc. In addition, other time divisions and combinations of time divisions are possible, including for example an indication of weeks in the case of a very important power reserve.
At the other extreme, one could even consider an indication of the power reserve to the nearest second, which could be advantageous in the case where the timepiece: include a stop system of the a regulating member at a predetermined discharge state of the mainspring, the power reserve indicating device interacting with the stopping system of the regulating member so that the latter is activated when the first one indicates a zero power reserve. It goes without saying that a similar arrangement also applies to a power reserve indication device in which the smallest time division indicated is calibrated in minutes or even hours.
The calculation of the various gear ratios for the system illustrated in the figures or for any other arrangement is within the reach of the watchmaker. Moreover, among the other examples mentioned above, the possible addition of additional mobiles to achieve the gear ratios required is also within the reach of the watchmaker and should not be described in more detail.

Timepiece comprising:- A barrel system (3) comprising a drum housing a motor spring, a barrel inlet (5) arranged to allow the reassembly of said mainspring, and a barrel outlet (7) arranged to provide a driving force to a movement of watchmaking that includes the timepiece;- a power reserve indication device (1) comprising a differential gear (17), said differential gear comprising a first differential input (17a) in kinematic connection with said barrel inlet (5), a second differential input (17b) in kinematic connection with said barrel outlet (7), and a differential output (17c) in kinematic connection with a first power reserve indication wheel (25a) associated with a first indication member (21a). ), the gear ratios of said power reserve indication device (1) being arranged such that said first indicating member (21a) indicates the power reserve according to a first time division;characterized in that said power-reserve indicating device (1) comprises a second power-reserve wheel (25b) in kinematic connection with said first power-reserve indication wheel (25a) via a reduction gear (23a), said second power reserve wheel (25b) being associated with a second indication member (21b), said reduction gear (23a) having a gear ratio arranged so that said second indicating member (21b) indicates the power reserve according to a second time division which represents an integer multiple of said first time division,and in that the power reserve indication device (1) is arranged such that the power reserve is indicated by the combination of the indication provided by the first indication member (21a) and the second indicating member (21b).

Timepiece according to claim 1, wherein said power reserve indication device (1) comprises a third power reserve mobile (25c) in kinematic connection with said second power reserve indication mobile (25b) via an additional reduction gear (23b), said third power reserve wheel being associated with a third indicator member (21c), said further reduction gear (23b) having a gear ratio gear arrangement arranged such that said third indicating member (21c) indicates the power reserve according to a third time division, the power reserve indication device (1) being arranged so that the power reserve is indicated by the combination of the indication provided by the first indicating member (21a), the second indicating member (21b) and the third indicating member (21c).
